Human bodies have an immune system in which special cells have a network that helps to fight against germs and other foreign invaders.Any flaw in the body maesk it unable to differentiate between self and non slef and when this happens,the body start making anti-bodies that attacks the normal cells.The same moment some special cells that are known as regulatory cells fail to perform the job of keeping in line the immune system.This leads to misguided attack on the body and damage that is known as autoimmune diseases.It depends on the type of autoimmune disease that which part will be affected by it.
Autoimmune diseases are very common as it affects around 23.5 million Americans.It is one of the major cause of death and disability in human beings of America.Some types of autoimmune diseases are rare while some affects many persons simultaneously.

- Women of childbearing age – The chances of autoimmune diseases are more women than men and it starts when a female enters in childbearing years.

- People who are around certain trigger in the environment – There are certain environmental triggers that leads to autoimmune diseases,.These triggers are sunlight, chemicals called solvents, bacteria and viruses that leads to autoimmune disorders.
- People with certain backgrounds – Autoimmune diseases are more common among people of certain backgrounds .For e.g. can say that type 1 diabetes is more common in white people whereas lupus is mostly found in African-American and Hispanic people.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease which is common in women. In this disease, the immune system attacks the joints lining all over the body. Some of the common symptoms are painful and stiff joints, lesser movement and functioning, fatigue, fever, loss of weight and inflammation in the eyes, lung diseases, formation of lumps under skin and anemia.
Psoriasis is a disease that leads to the formation of newer skin cells that grows deep into our skin and piles up on the outer skin surface. In this disease, formation of thick red patches that are covered with scales appear on the head, elbows and knees.

It is a disease in which the immune system attacks the protective coating of the nerves and this damage the brain and spinal cord. It causes weakness and trouble in balancing and speaking. Sometime tremors and paralysis attack occurs, numbing and tingling sensation is felt in the arms, legs, feet and hands. The symptoms vary with the extent of the attack of the autoimmune diseases.
